Discover charm, character, and a fusion of two ancient cultures where East meets West.

Turkey is the bridge between the Orient and the Occident. Once the core of the might Byzantine Empire and later of the great Islamic Ottoman Empire, it has always played a major role in the history of the world. A country of mountain ranges, ruggedly beautiful coastlines and blessed by year-round sunshine, it promises an escape from the ordinary.

Istanbul is the only city in the world that rests on two continents; Europe, where you will discover the old city and Asia, which is modern and stylish. Set in a spectacular setting of seven hills and surrounded by water on three sides, Istanbul is truly magnificent. Domes, cupolas and minarets dominate the skyline. The Sultan Ahmed “Blue” Mosque is notable for its six exquisitely slender minarets and cascade of domes. Where ever you look there are wonderful ruins, or old palaces, ancient churches and mosques, hammans (bathhouses) and colourful bazaars, of which the Grand Bazaar with its unbelievable choice of goods.

Three hour’s drive away is Bursa, the old capital of Turkey which lies at foothills of Mount Olympos and close to the sea of Marmara. It is known for mineral-rich hot theremal baths, ancient mosques, bazaars – and the ski resort of Uludag. Nearby Yalova is an ancient port with quaint villages and enticing beaches.

The moonscaped region of Cappadocia, southeast of Ankara, is most famous for unique topography - the “fairy chimneys “, the towering cone-like formations of otherworldly beauty. Past cultures have dug into them to create dwellings, castles (like Uchisar) and even entire underground cities, used as hiding places by early Christians. Pamakule meaning “cotton castle” in Turkish is one of Turkey’s top attractions and a precious World Heritage site with its cotton-look terraces formed by the deposited minerals. The underground waters once gave life to the ancient city of Hierapolis and are scientifically proven to cure many diseases. Nearby Antalya mixes historical beauty, azure seas and lush mountains with countries hippest nightspots and a rapidly developing art scene.

The Southeast of Turkey is a region with strong cultures, traditions and historical importance. A few days exploration will give a great taste of the region’s attractions. With a dramatic hillside setting, beautiful golden-stone buildings, mosques, churches and boutique hotels, the region’s capital Mardin has a lot to offer. Visit exotic Sanli Urfa with its true Middle Eastern flavor. In the spiritual Urfa - the “City of Prophets” - there are traditional Middle Eastern houses built around courtyards. People are extremely friendly, and the bazaar is great. Oludeniz meaning Dead Sea in Turkish features on countless Turkish travel posters and is one of Turkey’s iconic sights especially in summer time. It is also located near the start of the Lycian Way walking trail. It is regarded as one of the best places in the world to paraglide due to its unique panoramic views, and Mount Babadağ's exceptional height.

Konya is the birthplace of Whirling Dervishes. Mevlâna Museum is one of Konya's most distinctive sights. After the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul, it is one of Turkey's most visited attractions. Konya's lamb-centric cuisine is superb as well. Kuşadasi is a resort town on Turkey's Aegean coast. Becoming a modern-European looking town, Kusadasi has a lot of beaches, bars and cafes near the sea front.Turkey's most culturally conservative city.
