Qcredits are a new reward benefit awarded to Gold and Platinum members which can be redeemed for a selection of the following services:


Award upgrades

Redeem your Qcredits for single cabin upgrades (e.g. Economy to Business Class or Business to First Class)  or two cabin upgrades (Economy to First Class, where Business Class is not operated on the flight) on Qatar Airways flights.


Excess Baggage on Qatar Airways

With Qcredits, you can travel with that extra luggage at no fee! Redeem Qcredits for excess baggage on Qatar Airways flights for yourself or anyone else.

Payment of award fees

Award bookings made at our service centre or any Qatar Airways ticketing office and any changes or cancellation of award bookings are subject to fees. Award ticket fees apply per passenger and are required to be paid upon collection of award ticket and/or upgrades.

In addition to cash/card payment, at the time of payment of award fees, you will have the flexibility to use your Qcredits as a payment option.

Guest lounge access

Redeem your Qcredits to invite your guest to come enjoy lounge access* with you at Hamad International Airport while you both await your Qatar Airways flights.

Upon upgrade or retention of tier, Gold and Platinum members will receive 40 and 60 Qcredits respectively. Qcredits will be valid for 12 months after which unused Qcredits will expire.

To redeem your Qcredits for guest lounge pass(es), log into your membership account, click “My Benefits” from the menu and select “Redeem Qcredits”.

Additional Information:

  • Tickets issued under certain promotional fares may not be eligible for an upgrade using Qcredits. Please check your ticket or contact any Qatar Airways office for details.
  • *Main member and guest must be travelling on flights marketed and operated by Qatar Airways. Guest's flight must be at least within the following 3 hours from the main member's flight. Does not grant access to premium lounges unless holding a premium ticket. Lounge entry is subject to lounge capacity.
  • Qcredits are non-refundable, non-transferable and their usage is subject to availability of the services.
